What are Eating
Eating disorders can be defined as "any of several psychological disorders (such as anorexia nervosa or bulimia) characterized by serious disturbances of eating behavior" (Merriam Webster). Yet, what does that even mean? The disorder is treatable and can be physical, mental or both. Eating disorders mainly grow from an obsession with what one eats, how they look or how much they weigh. They can be very dangerous and in some cases end in death so it is very important to take precautions.

If it is common in your family for people to have an eating disorder than you should be aware that there is a chance you can inherit too. Another thing that can cause an eating disorder is personality traits. People that tend to be perfectionists find themselves having eating disorders due to the fact that they need to be their own vision of perfection, which in some cases can be an unhealthy weight.
